Relay heat got a rework

We changed how heat works on your Relay bays. Here is the short version.

No more shutdowns

The biggest change: bays do not shut down anymore. Before, if a bay got too hot it would trip and sit in a long forced cooldown, making nothing the whole time. That is gone. A hot bay now just runs slower, and it never fully stops.

Hot just means slower

Heat works on a smooth slider now. While a bay is cool it runs at full speed. As it heats up it gradually makes less, down to a minimum it will not drop below. So even a maxed-out hot bay keeps producing, it is just working at a lower rate.

Welcome to the Relay Network

Generators are gone. The Relay Network is here.

For years, Generators were a passive BC faucet you bought, leveled, and forgot about. The Relay Network keeps that BC flowing, but now it also burns surplus inventory into a new material, runs hot under load, and gives you real decisions about how to push it.

Here is what changed, what is new, and what to do first.

TL;DR

  • Your old generators are decommissioned at launch and migrate one-for-one into Mint modules at the same level. You get a final BC payout.
  • Two bay families ship at launch: Mint (produces BC, same baseline as legacy generators) and Refinery (burns surplus inventory into Salvage).
  • Salvage is the new relay-only material. It funds research, bay upgrades, and new module crafting. Leftovers can be used as Mint fuel for a bonus.
  • Heat is the new throttle. Bays generate heat while they run. You manage it with bay modes and DX Coolant.
  • An account-wide research tree unlocks Salvage-paid upgrades that apply everywhere.
  • Per-bay bay upgrades add local capacity, heat resistance, and quality-of-life perks.
  • A new quest season, a new pet (raccoon), 6 new trophies, 3 new skins, and 6 new leaderboards arrive alongside the launch.

Back in Business

Hey folks! First off, I want to apologize for the lack of updates lately – it’s been a while, and I know that’s frustrating. The good news is that new developers have joined the Bconomy team, so you can expect updates to start coming a lot more frequently from here on out. Really excited about what’s ahead!

Improvements

  • Significant behind-the-scenes work has been done to streamline how updates are built and released, making it easier to ship new content more often

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a stale state issue with the Ball Pit that could cause the game to display outdated status information
    • Buy buttons are now properly re-enabled after a Ball Pit draw
    • Your personal ball count and the global count now update consistently

I’d like to give a personal shoutout to TheCarriedOne#165847 for his efforts in reviving work on Bconomy. He’s done a lot, especially in the way we deliver updates, so if you see him around be sure to thank him for the work he’s done!

Cold Front

Hey folks! Cold Front, the Winter 2025 Season of Bconomy, has arrived! Quest Level has been reset and Rewards are available to earn once again.

I apologize for the delay in getting this released. A lot of dev time was put into QoL improvements and a new tutorial, but unfortunately they did not make it into this update. I’ve pushed the season reset without these changes for now. Hopefully these changes will find their way into the game soon. Thank you for understanding and sticking with Bconomy despite everything. It really does mean the world to me.

Spooky Sights

It’s here! Spooky Sights is the Fall 2025 Season for Bconomy, and… It’s Alive! IT’S ALIVE! MWAHAHAHA! Log into Bconomy and get to work on those all-new quest rewards!

This update also adds some gameplay features. I’m still working on finalizing the next major expansion, which adds an all-new resource collection system (Starships) and ecosystem of Items. Progress is being made, I promise! I hope this new update gives some new content to play with in the meantime.

Augments

  • Augment Items (Green, Amber, Purple, Red Gemerald) can now be applied to Tools to increase that Tool’s Action Multiplier
    • Only one of each type of Augment can be applied to each type of Tool
    • Augments stack multiplicatively with each other
    • Multiple of one Augment Item can be applied to a Tool to extend the effect’s duration

  • Grayscale Aura is this Season’s exclusive Pet Aura, and can be earned from quest rewards as an Auralyzer
