Mobile Apps and More

Hey folks! I’ve got a couple of major announcements to share today.

Bconomy for iOS & Android

Bconomy is now available on the App Store and Google Play for mobile devices and tablets! Add the game to your home screen and enjoy faster load times, improved performance and better gesture support. You can now also support the game with in-app purchases (available internationally). If you have a spare moment, I’d appreciate a review on the newly launched app – it helps out!

You’re able to link the app to your existing Bconomy account and sync your progress. There are some issues with Google/Discord login I’m working to resolve. If those fail, try linking an email.

Porting the game to mobile platforms was no easy task. A huge thanks to the game’s Supporters for helping cover the license fees, and also to everyone else who enjoys the game for giving me the motivation to do this. You guys rock!

Profile Customization

Introducing Profile Customization, a new feature available to all Supporters! Upgrade your Profile card with 10 high-quality custom backgrounds. Each one features handmade animations I’ve designed to make your Bconomy presence stand out. More will be added over time (…when I come up with new design ideas), but for now, give them a try and let me know what you think!

Home Page Revamp

The Bconomy home page has received a long-overdue makeover. It now includes an updated overview of the game, along with high-quality screenshots and app store links.

It also includes the Live Feed, an interactive element that displays current game activity in real time! It’ll be added in-game at a later date. Supporters currently have priority in showing up on the Live Feed.

New Season

Summer is upon us already, huh? Make sure to finish up those quests – there’s just 2 days left before the current season wraps up!

Getting the mobile app launched was a bit tedious, but I’m still on track to release the Summer Season in the next few days. Look forward to tons of Lunar Shards and other rewards to earn! Additional gameplay features will be arriving in the coming weeks as well.

It’s shaping up to be quite a big summer for Bconomy… buckle up everyone.

Another Pets Update

An update for Bconomy has been released, again with more features in preparation for the upcoming Summer Season. This one focuses on Pet-related features and enhancements, as well as additional quality-of-life improvements. Enjoy the update, and have a great weekend!

Supporter Pets

Supporter Pets are here! SP can now be used for Genesis Eggs that birth exotic Pet species. Following requests from some users, this has been added as a way to support the game outside of temporary boosts. Supporter Pets can’t be bred, and are purely cosmetic in nature (functioning identically to standard Pets).

Dragon (Fish), Phoenix (Hunt), Visitor (Explore) and Invader (Mine) are the Pets now available in the Special Store. Buyable Supporter Pets follow the current Season’s theme, and will rotate with each new Season (current set will remain until the end of the upcoming Season, “Summer Stargazing”). Get ’em while they’re still around!

Changelog

Pets

  • As previously announced, transferring pet ownership between users has been disabled
  • Pet breeding costs now reset daily (from weekly)
    • BC cost to breed Pets will remain, as it encourages collaboration with other players in collecting rare variants, as well as usage of Skin/Aura-boosting held items
  • Lineage: Interactively trace a Pet’s ancestry all the way back to its origins
    • You can now generate a sleek lineage tree for a Pet that traces its parentage all the way back to its ancestors

Game Update

Hello everyone! A fairly significant game update has been released. A number of new features have been added, as well as several changes to continue improving the gameplay experience. These lay some of the groundwork for the upcoming Summer Season update, which I can’t wait to drop! Enjoy, and thanks for playing.

Upcoming Changes

In 1 week from the time this update releases (on 5/17/2025), Pets will no longer be transferable between users. Eggs will still be transferable as they currently are. This is in preparation for changes to Pet breeding balance. Please take advantage of this 1-week grace period to transfer your Pets before the functionality is removed.

    • These new skins have extremely striking colors and are now some of the most difficult to obtain in-game!
    • Gamma base chance has been slightly increased to account for these additions
      • Eta skin base chance is equal to that of Gamma pre-update
  • All existing Pet skins have been retouched to appear more vibrant

    • This effect stacks if multiple are equipped at once
  • Auspicious Coin: Is now equippable
    • If this item is equipped and a Coinflip is lost, the loss is nullified, and any amount that would have been deducted is saved
    • There’s a 10% chance this item is consumed each time its effect is triggered
  • Atlantic Obol, Hunter’s Blind, Daoic Seal, Subterran Crest: New rare items that apply a 2x Boost (8h) for their respective action on use
  • Pluperfect Gemerald, Mystical Balls: New Rare items (no current use)

Spring Fling (Spring 2025)

A new Season has arrived in Bconomy: Spring Fling, the Spring 2025 Event! The snow’s melting, plants are peeking out of the soil, quests have been reset and progression for the new Season has been enabled. With this update comes a slew of new Items and game balance adjustments.

Revamps to the Farm, additional functionality for both new and old Items, a UI refresh, and more exciting features will be arriving over the next couple weeks. I’d hoped that these would have been ready for release by today, but they’re not polished to a level I’m satisfied with yet. Some Items added in this update don’t have uses as a result, but their place in the game will make more sense soon. In the meantime, enjoy the new Season and, as always, thanks for playing!

Changelog

Quests

  • The Spring 2025 Season has begun! Quests have been unlocked, progression has been reset for all players, and new Rewards are available to earn.
    • Trophies have been distributed to the top 10 players of last Season by Quest Level (Congrats to the #1 player, REDRUM#21267)

  • Active buddy loot action multiplier increase per level decreased to 0.001x (from ~0.002x)

      • These Items will be rarely yielded from harvested crops in a future update
    • Reaper’s Scythe, Green/Amber/Purple/Red Gemerald: Rare items that will have uses in coming updates
    • Rainmaking Amulet, Gilded Manure, Industrial Fertilizer, Experimental Fertilizer: Standard items that will have uses in coming updates

    • One KR is gained for every 1,000,000 BC worth of Items given away
      • Rare Items given away have a 10x KR Bonus on top of their base worth
    • Loosely inspired by the community’s Reputation system, KR is a way to incentivize high-level players to “give back” to the playerbase by running Giveaways
    • KR will be usable to buy permanent cosmetics like exclusive Pet modifiers, UI/Profile themes, special Trophies, and more
      • Cosmetics available to purchase will be time-limited and rotate based on the current Season but, once bought, will be owned permanently

Supporter Perks

Hey folks! This update introduces ways for players to support Bconomy financially. We’ve seen an increase in new players recently, and, along with that, server issues! That’s great! (sarcasm) Adding monetization features isn’t my favorite use of dev time, but it’s clearly necessary now for the long-term growth and survival of the game.

I’ve introduced some minor perks for those who generously support Bconomy with a few dollars each month. I will add more and more benefits to the subscription over time, and promise to keep them non-P2W for as long as possible. If Bconomy has brought you any enjoyment, I hope you’ll consider sparing a few bucks each month to keep the game alive.

This update is a bit sparse in terms of actual content. A ton of exciting features are planned for the next one, dropping March 1st! A huge expansion to the Farm, a new Season (with new Items, Global Events, and Quest Rewards to earn), and naturally dropping Specials are just on the horizon. Good things are worth waiting for!

Changelog

  • Ball Pit is now drawn more often, every 15 minutes (from 1 hour)

Specials

  • Noetic Pulsator global cooldown reduced to 2 minutes (from 5 minutes)
